The Story

Details

Gajar ka halwa often referred to as carrot halwa or Gajar Pak, is a sweet, carrot pudding. Originating in India, it’s now popular across the region. To make it, you grate carrots and place them in a boiling pot of milk, sugar, and water. You then slow cook the mixture at low heat for a few hours. Often eaten in winter months, this warming, vegetable-based dessert is full of vitamins and minerals

But, in the 21st century, few of us have time for normal cooking, much less slow cooking. Knowing this, Mezban took steps to make Gajar Halwa more accessible. These single-serving cups of frozen carrot halway cut your prep time down to practically nothing.  Just place them in the microwave and wait for the “ding!”.

  • This sweet treat tricks kids into eating their vegetables
